#art #inuit - Here is a large polar Bear Inuit sculpture. Notice the teeth. The teeth like this is actually not done like this by most present day Inuit carvers anymore.
For modern day pieces, see Polar Bear Inuit carvings. And for those who like photos of the real creatures, see Polar Bear Calendars.

#art #inuit #bears — Now here is a really amazing dancing bear with a fish in its mouth Inuit sculpture. This complex piece was carved by Johnnylee Nooveya of Iqaluit. The image is shown with the bear’s backside. We sold this Inuit sculpture to an extremely lucky new owner in the UK.
What do you think of this dancing bear?

#art #inuit #fishing - Here is a large 35 pound, 18 by 16 by 8 inch piece that I found for a client. It’s an Inuit fisherman with a large long fish by Jobie Uqaituk. By the time it was packed in a secure box, the shipping weight was over 50 pounds.
How do you like this huge Inuit fisherman sculpture?

#art #inuit #eskimo - This is an Inuit sculpture of a bird that I picked up at an antiques market in Montreal when I first started getting really interested in Inuit art. The detail on the feathers is incredible. It was subsequently sold through Free Spirit Gallery to a lucky new owner in the USA.
