Canadian Aboriginal Art Carvings
The last of our Canadian Aboriginal art (northwest) carvings were suddenly sold out by the end of the week when two eagles were claimed and shipped to one of our regular collectors in Washington state. Both of these eagle carvings including the flying one pictured above, were made by George Stokes of Squamish Nation, nephew of master carver Cody Mathias also of Squamish Nation, BC.
We know that Cody and George are already working on new Canadian Aboriginal art carvings for us as a new collection. We hope to get it in by the end of the summer but a fall collection is more likely.
This time around, we did order a few specific pieces by subject due to our survey of what our clients wanted to see in terms of the carvings. The results plus our own observations of what tends to be popular factored into what we ordered from our carvers out west.
In the meantime, our main webpage for Northwest Canadian Aboriginal art carvings still has a video of the past collection by Cody and George so by all means, view it for your art appreciation pleasure.
Canadian Aboriginal Art Paintings And Prints
Don’t forget that another medium that we also promote in Canadian Aboriginal art is the paintings as well as limited edition prints. We still have a nice selection of Northwest Native art prints as well as a great collection of original Woodland Native art paintings to browse through.
