This is a magnificent Northwest American Indian art piece of a war club by Alfie Fishgap, who is of Coast Salish Nation, BC background. Alfie is a master carver and currently lives in Holland Landing, Ontario, Canada.
This carving is
19 inches long. The
shaft, carved from ash wood for its strength and bending ability is in
the shape of a Kingfisher bird. The eyes are turquiose
inlay. The ball is carved from oak for its hardness. The
war club's handle is wrapped in moose hide and attached with feathers -
this is truly a very special piece!
Since this is an authentic, hand-made, one of a kind Pacific Northwest Native artwork, it comes with a signed gallery certificate certifying its authenticity.
