New Native Totem Pole
Northwest Native art master carver Cody Mathias has always produced high quality artwork. Until now, I’ve yet to see him produce a native totem pole but we have that opportunity now.
Here is a new native totem pole featuring a Thunderbird at the top which is quite common with full scale totem poles. He has a bear at the bottom which we’ve also seen on the full scale ones in BC, Canada.
One interesting observation is that this totem pole has that distinctive Cody Mathias touch which we’ve seen in all of his northwest native art plaque carvings. With totem pole, we can now get a more 3D version of Cody’s artwork.
