August 2008

Since the Inuit people of Arctic Canada live near water, they have used boats for both hunting and relocation for generations.  Sometimes, but not often, we would see Inuit carvers producing some very complex carvings of Inuit boats.   Here is a new article that shows the Inuit boat carvings;

Eskimo Inuit Boats

A rare type of Northwest Native Indian art carving is one of the legendary Sasquatch.  One of our clients wanted a custom designed carving of a Sasquatch so we had master carver Cody Mathias take up the challenge.  You can see the final result at;

Northwest Native Sasquatch Carving

The above is a newly created page 3 of our custom design native artwork article so if you haven't already, don't forget to look at pages 1 and 2 for more examples of custom pieces that were previous projects for clients.
