April 2009

Now, something a bit different this month.  Once in awhile, we see native designs or characters on currency such as coins.  These can be collector items for both native and coin enthusiasts alike.  Govmint, the largest direct source of collectible coins, has some
coins with native themes.

Go to the following link to get to their website and then enter the search terms 'native american', 'indian' and 'aboriginal' in their search box to see their collection with native designs.

We also have two articles on our gallery website that feature coins with native/Inuit designs.  There are at;

Coins with Native Designs (note that his is a two page article)

Coins with Inuit Designs

Hope you enjoy the beauty in the design of these coins.
