Native Art Burnings Quite Interesting

Native Art Burnings

Among some of the artwork that we have access to by Native artist Alfie Fishgap are his native art burnings.  This is the first time Free Spirit Gallery has ever made any burnings available.

The artist would literally burn his designs into wood pieces and it’s amazing on how much detail these really are.  Such an example is the Grass Dancer pictured above which is on a section of log – more details of this particular piece is available at Grass Dancer Carving.

Another example is the Wolf Mother as pictured below.  It is in the Northwest Native art style – more details at Wolf Mother Carving.  There are more such pieces by Alfie Fishgap and the best way to browse through them all is start at our main Northwest Indian art carvings webpage and go through the different categories.
