This is an exquisite Inuit carving of a hunter dancing with a seal. This is a rare scene. It is carved by Vianni Qumaluk of Puvurnituk, Nunavik.
It is 3 3/4 inches wide by 1 3/4 inch and 5 inches high. This piece has a few metallic specs showing on the surface. An example is near the seal's left eye. This is not a defect but a natural occurence in this type of soapstone. It is signed by the carver.
