This is an exquisite Inuit carving of a hunter
by Sim N. of Iqaluit, Nunavut. The hunter is shown with a harpoon waiting
over a hole in the ice for a seal to come up.
This carving, made from caribou antler, is
9 1/2 inches in length with the harpoon, 5 inches wide and 7 1/2 inches high.
It is signed by the carver. The rope attached to the harpoon is actually made
of seal skin.
