This is an exquisite Inuit basket made by Lucy Weetaluktuk of Inukjuak, Nunavik. It was weaved from the native sea lyme grass that grows in Nunavik (Arctic Quebec). It has a Inuit stone carving of an Arctic fish that serves as the handle for the basket's lid.
This Inuit basket is 7 1/2 inches high including the Inuit stone fish carving, 8 1/2 inches by 6 1/2 inches. It is beautifully done with a nice design. This unique larger than average Native American Arctic basket would look great on the shelf.
Since this is an authentic, hand-made, one of a kind Inuit artwork, it comes with an official Canadian government Igloo tag as well as a signed gallery certificate certifying its authenticity.
Our price below is 20% to 50% lower than for a comparable piece found at a street retail gallery. Add in the free shipping within North America and you will see that this piece is of exceptional value.
